MarchFourth
Marching Band was voted Best Portland Band in the Willamette
Week Best of Portland 2004 Reader's Poll. Maybe it's because
our band is bigger than everyone elses so we win if we vote
for ourselves, or maybe it's the infectious energy of our
colorful group. We like to think the latter, and everyone
in the band swears they didn't even vote! Check out the links
to see what else the media has to say about us.
TV Appearances
Oregon Art Beat,
an Oregon Public Broadcasting program, featured MarchFourth
in an episode that first aired on October 21, 2004. Oregon
Art Beat describes the band:
"March Fourth is Oregon's favorite marching band, complete
with fire dancers, stilt walkers, and a great horn section.
They've captured the hearts of thousands of Oregonians who
have seen their spectacular fun-filled performances."

Style Network
November 23, 2004 show "Whose Wedding is it Anyway"
featured a few clips of MarchFourth, who had been hired as
the entertainment for the wedding. What you don’t see
is the band spooking the horse the bride later rode in on.
Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Mid-Fall 2006 MarchFourth got a 3 - 5 second flash on Tom
Green's America's Most Interesting Persons segment. We actually
spent about 40 minutes or so being filmed riding the firetruck
through town and playing a 5 song set at Skidmore Fountain.
To all of you who programed your VCR to record for nearly
a month, we were just as excited to see our flash on national
tv.
